Based on true events, "Last Stop 174" tells the story of Sandro, a boy who loved to rap, to kiss, and whose dream was to see Copacabana. Sandro witnessed the murder of his mother and then moved to his aunt's, from where he escaped and became a street child. The movie tells the parallel saga of Marisa, a mother searching for her son who was stolen from her when he was still a baby, by the drug kingpin of the ghetto where she lived. The two stories intertwine and culminate in the hijacking of a city bus.
